Wife was looking for a mat for Yoga- this one seemed to be reasonably priced so I pulled the trigger. It’s light, has a nice carry strap and the purple color makes the wife happy. The underside has a non slip finish, and the mat has a bit of “cush” to it when you stand on it. Overall very happy with the quality at this price point.

I purchased this yoga mat a few months ago but only just recently began using it. I have been so far been using it daily for about 3 weeks on carpet and on hardwood floors. The grip is great, even on the carpet. The top side grip I would give a 4.5/5, because I tend to have sweaty hands and feet (thank you anxiety) and sometimes will begin to slip if I’m in a sustained vinyasana. But if I weren’t as sweaty as I am it would be a definite 5/5! My feet rarely lose grip, they don’t sweat as much as my hands. Anyway, it’s noth thickiest mat you could buy so if you are very heavy like me and require more padding for your knees or back or whatever, I would look for something even thicker like 10mm . Or find some padding to slip beneath this one! I gave the durability a 4/5 stars. I would definitely purchase this mat again if they have a 10 or even 12mm model, but I don’t see that happening for some time

This yoga mat is much better than the one I have been using. First off, it is thicker. I usually have difficulty doing some exercises because my knees hurt. The cushioning of this mat made it much more comfortable. It also bounces back into shape. Secondly, it does not slide or move around while I am exercising, even on hardwood floors. I love how easily it rolls up and has a convenient carrying handle. I am always looking for eco-friendly products and this mat is said to be toxin free and yes it does not smell any bad when new from the box. The TPE material is supposed to be more durable to use. I hope that the mat lives up to the claim of not being easy to split or tear after long time use. So far so good!

I was looking for a yoga mat that was thin enough to be stable under an aerobics step yet firm enough with enough give to use for shock absorption when dancing or running in place. I wasn’t expecting miracles, I decided to for for this one based on thickness, price and descriptions- I liked the color. I was expecting to have to put the mat open in the balcony for a few days, but when I pulled it out of the box and the plastic bag, it had no smell whatever. I prefer this thicker mat for poses on my knees or for doing situps on, it’s perfect for my needs. It keeps my aerobic step in place like it’s glued to the floor, and it’s actually really good at absorbing some of the impact when I walk or dance on it. Oh, and the color is exactly the same as it appeared on my monitor.I expected to have to buy several mats before I found the right one, but I got lucky with this mat. I’ve bought a lot of things online these days that are okay, but for one reason or another, they are pretty meh. This mat isn’t one of them. It is exactly what I wanted it to be with no smells and an attractive color. It is, indeed, sticky on the floor, and while it’s too soon to see how durable it will be, it doesn’t shed. this 8mm TPE mat is definitely worth considering.
