I’m 90kg and this thing is rock solid. From what I see the bar will not be the point of failure, it will be your joist or your installation if not done properly. If I had to pick something out it would be the foam grip especially on the wide grip angle bar. I don’t think it is going to last as I use the bar more than 100 reps a day, even so, it seems to stay put right now. If it becomes an issue I will cut it off and sport tape the bar. Very pleased with the quality of the bar.

very strong. high quality. nice looking too. all hardware needed to install on wood or anchor in walls.

love all the angles you can work out in. way better than the door frame mount type I used to have.

I mounted a TRX under the joist just next to this chin-up bar. Now, I can wrap the TRX straps on the perpendicular grips to make them level and fixed in place, so I can do upside-down hanging pull-ups, and other exercises not possible with the free straps. way cool!

  3. Xero

If you’re using the cheap pull-up bars that attach to a door jam, this is much better quality. If your a little handy, it’s easy to install. As soon as you bolt this into a joist, there is no problem at all. I highly recommend. Especially if you’ve been using another type of bar that isn’t as stable.

  4. Levi

When I purchased this, I was a bit concerned that the moment arm created by this design would create a really high level of stress on my ceiling rafters and potentially pull apart since some of the pull-ups that I do involve some degree of swinging. So far so good, although I did raise it up pretty high on my rafter, it seems to be very sturdy. With regard to the bar itself and the hand position options, they are also quite good.
